Alstef Group awarded contract for new terminal baggage handling system at Kyzylorda Airport, Kazakhstan
Alstef Group is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract to design and install the baggage handling system for the new, modern terminal at Kyzylorda Airport in Kazakhstan. The project will include the installation of both the outbound system and inbound systems.
The outbound system will feature 7 scale & induct check-in conveyors along with a collector conveyor: an outbound conveyor system with Automatic Tag Readers (ATR integration), X-ray screening integration, a new screening room, and a make-up lateral. The inbound system will include a reclaim carousel with a feed line, fire doors, and an out-of-gauge roller deck.
Alstef Group will be responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of the new equipment and technology. The project is set to be completed in 2024 and will greatly enhance the efficiency and reliability of the airport’s baggage handling system, allowing for a more streamlined passenger experience.
With funding from the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation, the new terminal will double the airport’s capacity to handle passengers and baggage, while keeping safety and security at the forefront.
