ALSTEF selected by Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport
ALSTEF selected by Quebec City International Airport for the installation of three new reclaim carousels.
Quebec City Jean Lesage Airport, voted several times North America’s best airport in its category, decided to entrust ALSTEF for the installation of three new reclaim carousels consisting of two lines with inclined carousels, and one out of gauge line.
This order is part of the airport’s expansion and redevelopment project, called YQB 2018, with includes over ten construction and technological improvement projects that will improve the passenger experience. Increasing the number of baggage carousels dedicated to international ights is one of the goals of this transformation.
Considering the distance between the baggage drop-off facilities and the reclaim carousels, ALSTEF proposed high speed conveyors to decrease the baggage delivery time.
This installation, which is due for completion in october 2017, is managed by ALSTEF subsidiary in Canada. ALSTEF Canada signed in 2009 a 20-year contract for the full operation and maintenance of the transborder terminal automated Baggage Handling System (BHS) at MontrealTrudeau Airport.
