For over ten years, CIAT Airport Systems equipment has been used in airports to provide passengers with the comfort of PCA while their aircraft is at the gate. The system avoids the need for aircraft on the ground to use their APUs, which are noisy, polluting, and consume fuel. CIAT uses optimized power calculations and electronic control to adjust the volume and temperature of the air distributed to each aircraft to obtain optimal cabin conditions. Furthermore,‘PCA by CIAT’, unlike the simple cooling generated by an APU, provides true air-conditioning. Air is filtered, dehumidified and diffused gently to provide passengers with greater comfort. PCA systems made by CIAT have been installed at Madrid, Brussels, Palma de Mallorca, Santiago de Chile, Prague, Palermo, Damascus, Aleppo, Geneva, Riga, and Bergamo.
