LOGAN TELEFLEX is part of the Suez group, specifically the Suez Energy Services division which brings together a number of the group companies consolidating its airport capabilities. Notable amongst these is the leadership position in the provision of operation and maintenance services to airports.

The synergies within Suez Energy Services enable our group to offer a greater range of services than just baggage system delivery.

The Group can offer an optimised product to its airport customers by linking operation and maintenance experience back into the baggage system design process to optimise long term system value and performance.

These synergies are just one of the major initiatives that really enable us to deliver “extra value and performance”.

Suez is a major group of companies with very significant resources in terms of financial and personnel. The support of Suez brings an assurance to our customers of a quality solution, delivered in time to meet our customers budget and expectations.

We have the ability to offer a turnkey solution including full life-time, outsourced support for the systems we provide, extending into facilities management if required.

Check-in & Transfer
Ergonomic requirements are fully accounted for in our check-in counter designs, resulting from decades of experience in major airports. Besides departure, efficient in-time transfer is one of the most challenging requirements for major hub Airports. Our transportation technology (conventional and DCV) and accurate tracking techniques have proven their efficiency over many previous projects and many years of application. In addition to the well known IATA license plate bar code we are prepared for the current trend towards electronic, RFID tags.

100% Screening
Security rules are constantly enforced. We have been among the first to develop true 100% screening systems since the concept emerged around 1991. As well as integrating 100% baggage screening within new designs, we have implemented many solutions to upgrade existing baggage handling systems. We always investigate solutions that will keep the cost of ownership as low as possible through minimising the amount of screening equipment, operators and maintenance.

“State-of-the-art technology, maximum flexibility”
We offer systems integrated from our extensive state-of-the-art product range and also equipment from other suppliers to provide the exact system that our customers need.

Flawless Sortation
Our range of sortation devices not only comprises state-of-theart tilt-tray sorters with up to 5400 bag/h throughput, but also carousel sorters and DCV direct sortation for lower throughput demands.

Our sorters benefit from patented methods that prevent most induction faults experienced by our competitors. As a low-cost alternative for moderate throughput, flat carousels may replace tilt-tray sorters. Separating and merging high baggage flows may be performed by several techniques, as an example using our full range of vertical and horizontal diverters.

DCV (Destination Coded Vehicle)
Our Télébag DCV products are proven through years of operation.
The versatile self-powered vehicle and its on-board intelligence allows baggage collection from check-in, transport to/from screening areas, and delivery to make-up as well. In large systems, its high speed and capability of climbing steep slopes allows fast intermodule connection. By design, it does not need the special, bulky loading/unloading machinery experienced by competitors. Therefore our DCV pays for itself as a space-saving technology.

Make-up
We have experience of all known make-up technologies: glacis chutes, laterals, flat or inclined carousels, gravity spiral chutes. No two airports have the same sortation philosophy and sort area space. Integration of the make-up device with the delivery/sortation technology depends on many factors. Our extensive experience means that we will be able to recommend the right solution to meet your specific requirements.

Early Baggage Storage (EBS)
Transfer bags that arrive at the airport before their out going flight must be safely stored until this flight opens. A bag storage system can effectively de-synchronise check-in opening from make-up opening. In this way alone an EBS system has often paid for itself through more efficient use of make-up capacity.

Our EBS experience goes beyond the usual “per flight” or “per time slot” normal management methods. Our proven dynamic reorganisation methods cope with unexpected circumstances.

Baggage Reclaim
We offer virtually all types of baggage reclaim devices. From straight belts suited for small airports to very large inclined claim carousels for delivery of luggage from multiple flights on future large aircraft.
High availability is the prevalent feature for a reclaim device.
Decades of experience are irreplaceable in ensuring the right function with the right availability.
