COMPANY BACKGROUND & MISSION Incepted in 1962, IER is a privately held company which specializes in the design, manufacturing and worldwide marketing of custom intelligent workstations and systems for large transportation networks and automatic identification applications.
In 2002, IER acquired Automatic Systems SA, a leading worldwide supplier of access control systems for pedestrians, vehicles and public transportation applications. IER and Automatic Systems now combine automatic gates with ATB products and biometric devices (finger print, iris or facial recognition) to provide secure and cost effective access solutions and streamline passenger processing at airports.
IER-AS access control solutions are also available to check airport staff.
IER FINANCIAL PROFILE Revenues were 168 M€ for Calendar Year 2006.
