For over 25 years, HGH Infrared Systems have
specialized in the development of optronic
and infrared systems for security, industrial
and civil applications.
The diversity and reliability of their products
have made them an international leader of
optronic instrumentation.
Their specific skills coupled with their long
experience enable HGH to remain in the foreground
of world suppliers of high infrared
technology.
HGH have developed a passive camera for
real time infrared panoramic vision,
Vigiscan.
Typical installation for airport surveillance with one long range and two medium range Vigiscan sensors. Each disc represents the monitoring area covered by one Vigiscan unit. Three Vigiscan sensors can replace hundreds of traditional cameras for whole airport coverage. The advantage of Vigiscan not only relies on the reduction of the total purchasing price of sensors but also the installation and infrastructure costs are greatly lowered.
360° day/night airport surveillance. Software display includes a low resolution banner 360° view (top) and a panoramic annular view (bottom centre), which allow the operator to quickly select, with mouse single click, an area of interest within the image. That area of interest is instantaneously displayed in maximal quality (centre). The view changes are instantaneous and areas in multiple directions can be displayed simultaneously, contrary to pan&tilt cameras. Two zoom windows are also available at the bottom left and right. The software includes a powerful algorithm to automatically detect and track threats based on user defined parameters. Vigiscan is the only security system available on the market offering the following capabilities: panoramic display and intrusion detection are both operating simultaneously, whatever the number of intrusions over 360° is.
The Vigiscan is a unique and innovative
thermal imaging product that provides day/
night 360 degree panoramic surveillance,
and is well suited for airport monitoring
and long range detection.
The Vigiscan is a high resolution, cooled thermal
imaging line scan camera. The Vigiscan
rotates at the rate of 1Hz providing real time
continuous coverage and protection in all
directions simultaneously, thus eliminating
or reducing the need for traditional pan
and tilt positioners.
The system is Ethernet
enabled, allowing imagery to be viewed
on a standard computer with no special
hardware.
The system software can be used to
view imagery from the camera, and to
automatically detect and track multiple
threats based on user defined parameters.
According to the model, the system can
detect one human being up to 3 km.
The Vigiscan system enables to monitor 24/7
a very wide area with few sensors contrary
to standard monitoring systems with
plenty of Pan Tilt&Zoom cameras, manually
oriented by the operator.
The main advantages of this original
system are:
• Faster and reliable detection of multiple
threats over 360° thanks to an automatic
detection module.
• Less maintenance fees.
• Cheaper infrastructure costs (pylons,
cables…).
• User-friendly interface for the operator
with only one screen.
The main applications are:
• Airport / Seaport security.
• Fire detection.
• Perimeter Security.
• Coastal and Border Passive Surveillance.
• Border Patrol.
• Defence sites protection: air/naval bases,
camps.
• Oil and gas industry: refineries, oil rigs,
LNG / LPG terminals, pipelines.
• Maritime: fight against piracy, anti-smuggling,
search and rescue, anti-collision.
• Nuclear power plants.
Vigiscan rotary sensor. The continuous rotating sensor head gives a 360° panoramic image strip
containing 3 to 12 million pixels per image (depending on the Vigiscan version). The Vigiscan, compliant with MIL-810F Standard, ensures H24 operation even in the harshest environmental conditions.
