Our know-how in the airport field Being in the fire detection field since a long time, DEF equips airports all over the world: Paris CDG, Marseille, Lyon, Cairo, Jakarta, Dakar, Casablanca, Abidjan, Phnom Penh...
In our approach of these sites, we initially assess the overall functional requirements:
- taking into account the varied exogenic risks,
- the reliability of the system,
- the guarantee of free operation,
- the limitations of restraints in public zones,
- the obligation of an optimal maintainability.
Then, we carry out a detailed risk analysis taking into account the particular characteristics of the site:
- its structures: volumes of great height (halls of terminals, technical zones),
- the specificity of public zones: variable calorific value, with significant factor of propagation,
- sensitive zones: the risks are mixed, the zones to be protected being multiple (commercial zones compartmentalised and on variable surface, zones of intensive crowd passage).

These products ensure a 100% addressing of the security system and a supervision of the whole installation. They also allow a protection by partitioning groups of buildings, via advanced stations. Thus, in the event of failure of a central processing unit or a connection between systems, the unit remains operational. Our wide range of products enables all needs to be met, whether for the services sector (offices, airports, hospitals, school buildings, hotels), or the industrial sector (nuclear power stations, food- processing sites, computer rooms, waste storage facilities, etc...).
Fire safety: full range of detectors, panels, addressable control and indicating equipments, for all types of sites.
Extinguishing systems:
- flame-inhibiting extinguishers using types of gas that do not harm the ozone layer,
- our DEFINERT inert gaz extinguishers (natural product that is non-toxic to humans),
- foam extinguishers that spray a biodegradable foam suitable for protecting large spaces,
- extinguishers based on low pressure water mist technology.
Surveillance and management of emergency exists, using NF-certified Alligator systems (locks and central control units) to control the opening and closing of emergency exit doors.
Access and anti-intrusion control, performed by two ranges of multi-purpose Alligator products: one for large sites and the other for small and medium-sized sites.
Windows NT based supervisory system designed and developed by DEF to supervise all building safety installation
