The ultimate green air solution for your airport, by CIAT Airports

Created in 1934 in Culoz, France, the CIAT group is a leading manufacturer in the field of heating by heat pumps, centralised air conditioning, air handling and heat exchange;

As a major player in Europe’s HVAC market, CIAT is committed to protecting the environment and saving energy and has made these concerns an integral part of its development strategy.

CIAT Airports, a division of CIAT group, offers PCA (Pre Conditioned Air) equipments
for cooling, heating, ventilating an aircraft on apron side of aircraft and hangars.

CIAT group in figures:
• More than 70 years of experience
• 366 M€ Turnover in 2008
• 2400 employees worldwide
• 5 % of its turnover dedicated to research and development
• 9 industrial sites around the world: France (4), Spain (1), Italy (1), India (1), China (2)
• 10 million products on operation worldwide
• Subsidiaries and accredited distributors in more than 70 countries

Dedicated to High Energy Efficiency (HEE) technology and high quality air, CIAT offers a complete range of energy-saving HVAC solutions to airport terminals and auxiliary facilities: high efficient chillers, air-handling units, dry coolers, HEE motor for fan coil units, axial fans, etc. The new HEE range can reduce up to 85% of your energy consumption!

Meanwhile, CIAT Airports offers an extensive PCA ranges enabling our clients to choose the best PCA system taking into account investment, operating and maintenance costs.

“Point of Use” – PCA ADX unit: the completely autonomous solution for airport and terminal renovation projects
• Optimized for Cat. C to Cat. E aircrafts from -15°C to +43°C/30% RH outside conditions.
• The ideal solution for terminals with less than 10 passenger walkways.
• A satisfactory level of comfort, a solution accessible to all for a limited investment.
• Last refrigerant fluids available to meet environmental demands and the different climatic conditions throughout the world.
• The mobile PCA ADX unit: totally electric, or Diesel driven on a trolley or on a truck.
• 100% environmentally-friendly (electric version) to conform to the most stringent standards of aircraft construction and airport sites.

“Centralized” – PCA ACW unit: glycol water combining with cold storage by Cristopia
• Optimized for Cat. C to Cat. E aircrafts from -15°C to +50°C/40% RH outside conditions.
• The reference in glycoled water low air temperature central systems (Glycol at water range: ex.: -7/+12°C).
• Parked planes no longer rely on their APUs.
• Reduced use of kerosene, lower maintenance costs of the plane and less noise pollution and odour on the apron for the environment.
• PCA air-handling units with air/water coils near the planes.
• A refrigeration and a cold storage plant installed in the terminal building dedicated to PCA units.
• Optimum comfort levels for passengers particularly in hot and humid countries (Asia, the Middle East, …).
• Cold storage unit in option to save electrical consumptions (production during economic period), as a basic element for ACW range.

“Hybrid” – PCA ADW unit: chilled water & direct expansion circuit(s) with cold storage by Cristopia in option
• Optimized for Cat. C to Cat.F aircrafts from -15°C to +50°C/40% RH outside conditions.
• The polyvalence of a centralised hybrid non-glycoled system at low air temperature (typical water range used in building: 6/12°C).
• The ADW range fits to terminal extensions, taking the advantage of the existing terminal water chilled network.
• Cold storage unit in option to save electrical consumptions (production during economic period).
